When most of us think of breakfast, eggs benedict or bagels smeared in cream cheese probably come to mind a whole lot faster than tacos or tortas. Personally, I am in a monogamous relationship with Lucky Charms. (Always a safe bet in my mind, because highly processed fake marshmallow charms have yet to let me down). Normally I’m not one to deviate from my breakfast routines, but this weekend I had the privilege of attending a little breakfast party at Hoboken’s very own The Taco Truck!

After living in Arizona just shy of 3 years and assuming I’d never have any good Mexican food anywhere else in the U.S., I was pleasantly surprised after visiting this New Jersey gem…AND I had no idea it has been rated one of the top places to eat in Hoboken!

Now open for breakfast Saturday and Sunday from 9am-12pm, The Taco Truck is prepared to give your breakfast a little Mexican-style makeover. From their Taluca-style Taco loaded with chorizo and potatoes, to their Azteca-style Torta filled with black beans and avocados, there is bound to be something anyone’s palate can fall in love with…not to mention with their meats being raised on a vegetarian & hormone/antibiotic free diet (HG loves this!), you might just feel a little bit better about what you are putting in your mouth.

Conveniently located on Newark Street near the Path, you have the option of placing your order online and picking up for later, or dining in. I recommend dining in if you are a first timer, because whatever you order will never be enough. TRUST me.

Overall, I had a wonderful time discovering what The Taco Truck had to offer, while also having the opportunity to be in the company of some local Yelpers who also couldn’t get enough. After enjoying my morning feast at The Taco Truck, my cereal bowls are in for some lonely mornings…in fact, we might have to break up.
